Burns Bridge Engineering

Burns Bridge is a mechanical engineering and manufacturing systems consulting proprietorship offering a wide array of services to industry and business in western Canada (Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia).  The principal consultant, Brian Fitzgerald, possesses degrees in mechanical engineering (BASC) and business (MBA).  Having amassed an array of experience spanning 40 years spread across 12 companies in nine different industrial segments, Brian is in possession of what can be considered, a "chartered accountant's perspective" of operations management.

Knowledgeable in all common problem solving methodologies (Six Sigma, Kepner Trego, Shainin, Statistical Engineering IIQP and TNSFT) , data analytics, quality systems, predictive maintenance and lean manufacturing, the principal is in possession of finely honed problem solving and decision making skills capable of working on the most complex and ill defined problems at the highest level in an organization.

This is not an average web site.  Included in this web site's pages are dozens of case examples involving a wide spectrum of problems spanning project management, process engineering and re-engineering, lean manufacturing, and operations management.  The primary purpose of these case examples is dual, 1. to educate, and 2. to convince visitors that most complex problems have elegantly simple solutions.

Burns Bridge has amassed a similar experience set, managing and leading multi-cultural, multi-personality, cross functional teams up to 160 in size in both union and non-union settings.  Burns Bridge understands the importance of diversity in an organization.  Together with over 30 years of competitive team sailing experience on keel boats on the Great Lakes and more recently, Alberta, he has acquired a strong understanding of teamwork, leadership, motivational psychology and, finally,  the mechanics of getting a diverse group of personalities to work together.

Accordingly, Burns Bridge can provide human resource guidance in addition to technical guidance to address the vast majority of problems, a business may encounter.
